Methods of Developement

Allusion:
(pt) Noah’s ark was make to save the animals from the rain
(proof) God made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights because he was angry with the people.
Analogy:
(pt) the water cycle is like a sports team
(proof)You have high point and high points and low point like when the water is in the ocean or a lake the team isn’t doing well and not making the playoffs. But when the water evaporates the team has a couple of good years and makes the playoffs. Then the water falls from the sky meaning the team has a couple of bad years and the cycle continues.
Anecdote:
(pt) Some things that seem like they could never happen, happen?
http://www.bellvista.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/raincloud-cartoon11.jpg(proof) The parliament buildings roofs were not always green, they were made out of copper and when acid rain fell from the sky over time they turned green. So when they made a new parliament building, the roof had urine poured on the roof to make the copper green.
Cause and effect:
(pt) Part of photosynthesis plants need water to grow.
(proof) Rain falls, plants grow.
Contrast:
(pt) Snow is very different from rain.
(proof) Snow is soft and chilly while rain falls hard and warm. Snow is light while rain is heavy.
Comparison:
(pt) the rain looks like tiny ice cubes falling from the sky (proof) the rain is tiny droplets of water.
(pt) I feel like I’m swimming in this rain (proof) it is raining very hard out.

(pt) Rain can be put into many groups.
(proof) Heavy rain, drizzle, acid rain are all different types of rain.
Definition:
(pt) Rain is a form of condensation.
(proof) Rain occurs when clouds are formed and water needs to be released.
Division:
(pt) Acid rain is formed by normal rain.
(proof) Chemicals from the water that are evaporated come up with the vapour causing acid rain.
Specific example:
(pt) Rain can be very helpful.
(proof) It can help farmers grow their crops and water’s their fields.

(pt) Rain depicts the sadness or dreariness in a scene, in a book, or a movie.
(proof) When Snow White was running into the forest it began to rain.
Process Analysis:
(pt) Rain has to go through a long process called the water cycle before turning into rain.
1.     (proof)  The heat soaks up water from ocean’s, Lakes Rivers, trees in a process called evaporation. As the water mixes with the air it forms water vapour. as the air cools the water vapour forms clouds. This is called condensation. Most of the water is immediately returned to the seas by rain which is called precipitation. The rest of the water vapour is carried inside clouds by wind over land where it rains or snows. Rain and melted snow is brought back to the oceans by rivers, streams, and run-off from glaciers and water underground

Thematic Comparison Paragraph
We have read many short stories in our English class The lottery, The Sniper, Harris Bergeron but the story I found amazing was “Lather and Nothing Else” by Hernando Tellez, a short story which I found very different from the literature I usually read. The theme this story portraits is “our roles determine our actions/ our actions determine our identity, this theme is similar to the short story “The Man Who Loved Flowers” by Stephen King.
“ Lather and Nothing” else is a story about a barber who had the opportunity to kill a rebel-executioner, by the name of Captain Torres but chose not to because of the risk “And when I recognized him I started to shake” this quote explains how frightened and insecure he became when Captain Torrez entered the shop.
The man who loved flowers” is about a man who was searching for a woman named Norma, “She looked up and smiled... but as they drew together, the smile faded” this quote talks about how he felt and how happy he was when he noticed a woman in an alley who he assumed was Norma but then he found out the truth when the woman told him she is not who he is looking for, his actions lead to the death of the woman as he killed her with a small handled hammer in which he pulled out from his pocket.
For full summary of The Man Who Loved Flowers:  http://www.krypta-smierci.neostrada.pl/ebooks/Stephen%20King%20-%20Night%20Shift%20-%20The%20Man%20Who%20Loved%20Flowers.html

These two stories relate because they both describe the true personalities of two individuals and who they really are. We can tell that the barber in Lather and Nothing else was very scared and doubtful of himself as he was thinking of what the consequences could've been if he had killed Captain Torres. As for The Man Who Loved Flowers displayed how violent and physical he was by killing the innocent woman walking through the alley just because she was not who he was looking for. In other words the actions of an individual speak a lot louder than words and they represent our identity.

Video Post: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royal

This video is a trailer of an upcoming video games which will blow away the gaming community. It features many characters from several other video games such as Kratos (God of War) and Nathan Drake (Uncharted 3) both are from blockbuster hits. it is somewhat similar in design and  format to Super Mario Smash Bros which consists of Nintendo characters as this game has characters from games only on The Sony system. As a fellow individual of the gaming community i feel that this game will be a huge success.

Introduction

The reason why I created this blog was for an English blog ISU (Independent Study Unit). This blog will be marked and assessed by my English teacher for my English class. Personally I hate ISU's that involve using the computer or internet because I am easily distracted from what I'm doing and I end up on Facebook or YouTube, thus causing me to do homework late and resulting in sleep deprivation. In other words I procrastinate a lot which I hate and hope to lose this habit along with sleeping late.
